Amazingly, I have very few videos. People take videos almost every night but as I’m not ‘friends’ with them, I never know where they’ve been posted.
Any I’ve tried to do myself with a phone have generally ended up having absolutely shite sound quality. Any videos I do get my hands on will appear here, regardless of how bad they make me look 😀
July 12th 2025 – The Black Bull Inn, Rothesay.
Two ‘firsts’ ! Not played in The Black Bull for a number of years but made a wee return to there on the 12th of July. Not only a return to an old venue, but a return to an old band buddy with Amy returning to what she should be doing.
Here’s one from that absolute master of producing videos in absolutely no time, with effects and captions and all the rest, Mr Gerry Geoghegan. This was a quieter than usual Sunday afternoon in The Galatea Bar where I knew pretty much everyone and they persuaded me to have a crack at a song I hadn’t tried in many years, The classic Purple Rain ! Apologies to Prince for mincing his epic song and I hope the turning in his grave wasn’t too uncomfortable !

(Above) The Puffer Bar in Dunoon. Think this dates back to about 2018. I was thinner then…..
(Below) And here’s another oldie from 2019 from The Glenburn Hotel, Rothesay. The equipment used to record this was pretty sophisticated. A cheap phone, propped up by a pint of Guiness on a table sat at the front of the dance floor. It’s no exactly MTV Unplugged…
